Marianne Hörlesberger (Ph.D., female) has worked for the Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH, AIT, since 2001. She currently works mainly on projects applying forward-looking methodologies (foresight and road mapping) combined with stakeholder engagement. She started at AIT analysing data and methodologies such as informetrics, scientometrics, and bibliometrics for the identification of emerging technologies and the network of agents behind those topics. In some projects, she combines both the analytical methodologies and the qualitative approach. She has also managed and coordinated international and national projects. She graduated from the University Vienna (Austria), where she obtained her Ph.D. in mathematics.
